The Moors Valley Golf Club is an independent club that uses the Moors Valley Golf Course as its base, including the operation of the Clubhouse catering facility. The Course itself is owned and operated by Dorset Council and both pay and play and Season Ticket options are available. The Moors Valley Golf Club enjoys a close working relationship with the Councils course team, utilising the excellent course and facilities.
The Moors Valley Golf Club welcomes players of all ages and gender, and gives new players the opportunity to obtain a playing handicap. The annual golf club membership is set by the club committee and is currently £95 (junior membership is £10 per year with no joining fee); annual membership commences from 1st January each year with new members paying pro-rata for that season depending on the date of joining.
The Moors Valley Golf Club has a busy schedule of competitions throughout the year with current club competition days being:-
Men (any age) Saturday or Sunday morning; Ladies Tuesday morning and Saturday or Sunday morning; Seniors/Veterans (> 55 years) Tuesday morning.
In addition to medal and stableford competitions, The Moors Valley Golf Club has a full range of team competitions that members can enter, these include mixed competitions and singles and doubles knockout.
Support is provided for new players, guiding them through the system gently and encouraging individuals to progress at their own pace; players will not be put under pressure to enter competitions, promoting a safe and supported environment to encourage new members.
